How to use Rose Quartz Face Roller and Gua Sha
Face Roller
Start on a clean face and prep your skin with a facial oil/ serum/ moisturizer. Gently roll the Face Roller for 5 minutes daily with 10 to 15 sweeps on each section of your face as directed below. Use the lager roller head for most areas of your face (i.e. forehead, cheekbones, jawline, chin and neck), as well as a smaller roller for your delicate eye area. Follow below steps on both sides of your face.
Forehead: Keep the tool flat against the face and begin with the forehead. Roll in an upwards motion from the eyebrows to the hairline. Secondly begin from the middle of the forehead out and down towards the temples.
Eyes: Begin at the bottom of the eye from the inner corner and move outwards to the temple.
Brows: Roll along the brow bone going from the inside out.
Crow’s feet: Use the small end, apply medium pressure and move the small end of the roller rapidly up and down on the corner of your eye.
Cheeks: Begin from the corner of the mouth up and outward to the ear.
Jawline: Begin rolling at the front of the chin and arc along the jawline to the ear
Chin: Begin rolling from the double chin area and move out and upwards to the ear.
Neck: Start under the earlobe and pull down to the collarbone.
Gua Sha
Start with a clean face and prep skin with a facial oil or serum.
Angle the tool flat against the face (15 degrees), place fingers of the free hand close to the tool‘s edge to provide resistance, and gently sweep tool up and outwards to the corners of the face. Sweep min 5 times on each section. Apply light pressure on the face while sweeping, to prevent bruising. Do it once in a day, 2 to 3 times in a week.
Forehead: Scrape in an upwards motion from the eyebrows to the hairline. Secondly sweep from the centre of the forehead to the temples.
Brows: Gild along the brow bone going from the inside out.
Cheeks: Move to the cheeks and scrape in an outwards motion starting from the crease of the nose until the ear.
Under-eye: very gently scrape the Gua Sha tool from the inner corner of the eye outwards to the temple. Because the area is so sensitive, it is important to only apply light pressure.
Chin and Jawline: Use the end of the Gua Sha tool with the two curves. Start from the chin and scrape until the ear.
Neck: Use on front, back and side of the neck. Follow upward motions from the centre of the collarbone, moving up to the chin. Follow upward motion on the back from the base of the neck to the base of the skull. Follow downward motions on the side of your neck from your ear to the shoulder to drain fluid.
Your skin may look flushed after, but, like post-workout redness, this just shows a boost in circulation
